Taranjit (T.J.) and Shammi are originally from India, but are settled in California now. While T.J. is working as a software quality engineer after completing his master's degree in engineering in Canada, Shammi is currently pursuing her master's in mass communications.

T.J. has been bodybuilding for seven years now and competed back in 1999 in Indian Nationals where he placed fifth. Then, in 2002, he won his weight class in WBFA's Monterey, California, show. He also competed in NPC San Jose and placed second in novice and fourth in open middleweight class.

T.J. has also been providing personal training to his clients, both locally and globally. He recently earned his CSCS title (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) from the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association).
