Charles McGrue is what bodybuilding should be about. We saw him for the first time at a recent Northern California show, where he won the heavyweight division. He's 28 years old, competed a few times about six years ago, then dropped temporarily out of competition to train, train, and train.

Charles has what it takes to be a champion—heavily-muscled mass, density, symmetry, statuesque proportions, a pleasant stage presentation, and excellent posing. He's also involved in a number of aspects of high technology. He's a Web designer, and he's also the owner of a high-tech consulting company called Step Inside Technology. "Step Inside" works to help individuals and corporations find high tech options in computing and communications that are cost-efficient and best suited to them. To him, bodybuilding is a hobby, not a career.
